Day 4  and a contest

Dun da da da!  Exciting news!  I'm hosting a contest for all you polaroid lovers out there!!  At the end of June, I'll be giving one lucky person a print of their choice.

**Ooh!  A photo, you say?  Of my choice, you say?**

YES!  And it's easy to enter!  Just leave a comment with your name (and a way for me to contact you if you win!).  For multiple entries, follow my blog, or write your own blog entry mentioning the contest and put the link in the comment section of one of my posts.

At the end of June, I'll draw a name, and the winner can go through my online gallery and choose a photo that I'll mail to you.

Good luck!!

19.05.10

Welcome back, old friend.

Today got off to a pretty rough start.  I think I might have flipped my days around by working all night and sleeping half the day.  It's my own fault, I know, but since I'm not such a big fan of life-lessons, I'm going to ignore this one.

Luckily, coffee always has my back.  Srsly.  After a nice, strong cup, I can plant myself in front of the computer and might only get a small imprint of the keyboard on my forehead.  Today I actually got to do fun stuff on the computer, so my forehead is imprint-free.

A couple of weeks ago, I got a few rolls of film back from ABC Photocolour (plug here- they're awesome, professional, and fast!  If you use film but don't like developing it, I highly recommend them) but since my scanner is a little fussy with film, I've been neglecting them.  The poor little things have been crying out to me from the drawer I buried them in, and this morning I finally caved.  It takes an entire morning to scan 4 rolls of 36 exposure film onto my computer, but the quality is so good (and it's free!!) that I have a tough time justifying having someone else do it.

Then, this afternoon, I got to do a corporate photo shoot with a company I used to work for (yay for knowing people!  Excuse me, networking.).  The light was perfect and I'm really excited to see how the shots turn out.  When the photos have been edited, I might post a few here :)

The women I shot today were beyond amazing!  It still blows my mind when you put regular people in front of a camera and, not only do they take direction, but come alive.  Even the ones who were nervous ended up jumping off the screen.  It makes my job so easy and fun and rewarding.  And it's nice to see how appreciative they are when you take the time to make sure they're happy with the shots.

Hmm... those last few paragraphs were a grammatical nightmare.  I think last night is catching up with me. On that note, good night, my friend.  I'll talk to you later.

Teryn
